Irene is Retiring

balloonsIrene VanDyk has been a wonderful employee of the library for many, many years. She has worked with our teen group, led Story Time, and has done countless other things for our library and community. Since we cannot have a public party at this time, please feel free to put a card in the drop box in celebration of Irene's retirement. We thank her for all she has done and will miss her here at the library.

Happy retirement and best wishes Irene!

Notification of overdue materials has resumed. You may receive a call or email letting you know that you still have items checked out that are past due. If you have already returned your items to the drop box, no need to worry. Your books are just sitting in quarantine waiting to be checked in. All items returned are set aside for one week to ensure the health and safety of all patrons and staff. Unless the materials you returned were due before COVID-19 and the library closure, please be rest assured you will not receive a fine. We thank you for patience during this time.

Want to be notified when materials on your account will soon be due? Follow the steps below to ensure your library account has your (correct) email address.

1. Log in to your Encore account.
2. Click "My Account" in the upper right hand corner.
3. Click on the button called, "Edit Account" on the left under your name.
4. There will be a popup form called, "Modify Patron Information". The email address is the only field that may be updated.
5. Fill in your email address and click on the "Submit" button. Or, if the existing email is incorrect, simply retype your correct email address and then click on the "Submit" button. The system will replace the old address with the new address.

Read On!

ereaderIf you're not comfortable returning to the library just yet for curbside, there are still plenty of opportunities to read at home:

There are e-materials through Libby, OverDrive and rbDigital. Check out our eBooks and eMaterials page to get connected today and start your next great read.

Another great place to find some reading is Storyline Online, where children's books - complete with pictures - are read to you.

Don't forget about the Free Little Libraries in your community as well. To locate one near you, please visit: the map page of Little Free Library.

MeL also has a ton of free materials. They are a great resource for educational learning at home. P.S. They also have some free books to read online as well!
