  • 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.

    1000 Books Before Kindergarten is going strong. We have 129 children signed up and 7 children have completed the program. If you have not signed up yet, it is not too late. KEEP ON READING KIDS!!!!!

    We will be reading "OF HUMAN BONDAGE" by W. Somerset Maugham for our next book discussion which will be on Monday, December 30, 2017 at 8:30 AM. If you would like to join our group, please stop by the circulation counter and we will gladly fix you up with a book!

  • Story Time Dress-Up for Halloween

    The library story time group had a dress-up for this week's theme at 11:00 AM. Several children came in costumes and even the children's librarians dressed up. We also want to thank Ms. Brenda, Ms. Mary, Ms. Patti, Ms. Rhinda, Ms. Terri, and Mr. Mike for handing out treats to our special trick or treaters.

    Thursday, November 2, 2017, teens made turkeys out of old library books. They turned out beautifully and sure add to the harvest decorations at the library!

  • Essential Oils Make & Take Well Attended

    The library hosted a Essential Oils Make & Take Event on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 6:30 PM in the community room here at the library.

    Debra Bogardus, a local Essential Oils consultant, instructed several patrons on using Essential Oils in miscellaneous common household staples to enhance their usefulness.  Patrons were able to make two (2) items for $5.00 total.  Examples of items they were able to make included Peppermint Epsom Salt Foot Soak, Sugar Scrub Goats Milk Soap, Peppermint Hot Cocoa Gift Packs, and Santa's Hat Stocking Stuffers.  Debra also had a delicious treat for the group to enjoy - Chocolate Orange Brownies....YUMMY!
